A Successful COVID 19 Recovery
Staff at VA New York Harbor Healthcare System applauded a non-Veteran patient who successfully recovered from COVID-19. The patient was discharged Tuesday, April 21 from the Manhattan VA Medical Center. He was one of the first humanitarian patients to arrive end of March from Elmhurst Hospital in Queens. The patient was extremely ill but made a remarkable recovery. His care team was emotionally moved by his recovery and helped him celebrate his 52nd birthday Saturday, April 18.
