This is a four-year study of OEF/OIF veterans. The research is being conducted at the Albany, Bath, Buffalo, Canandaigua, Rochester and Syracuse VA Medical Centers.

This study will identify and describe the abilities of veterans who served in OEF/OIF. These abilities include thinking, attention, and memory (cognitive functioning) and emotions that might be associated with OEF/OIF service, and how symptoms may be related to TBI or to deployment in general. The research will follow participants over time and investigate how the cognitive and emotional symptoms are related to using health care services, living in the community, and quality of life.
