Vietnam Veterans of America VVA presented a check to Linda Weiss, Director Stratton VA Medical Center, to support the holiday fund, which provides recreational activities as well as special events for Veterans in long term and residential care. VVA hosts an annual car show at VA which helps to support important activities and comfort items throughout the year.

Former Prisoners of War were honored by the medical center during the annual POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony. The event was very well attended by VA staff, Veterans groups, dignitaries, and elected officials.
Cliff Darfler (center), 34-year volunteer, received a 10,000 Hour Award presented by Linda Weiss (left), Director Stratton VA Medical Center, and James Keller (right), Voluntary Service Chief. Over the years Cliff has volunteered in various areas of the hospital and served as a faithful volunteer with the Saratoga National Cemetery Honor Guard. He has also dedicated much of his time to working with Veterans in the behavioral health unit.
Mixed Gender Basketball Association players visited the Community Living Center residents for a friendly game of basketball.
The Army’s Spirit of America performed for Veterans in the lobby and in the Community Living Center.
In honor of the Navy’s 239th birthday, Navy personnel served cake, and spent quality time with fellow Veterans.
