January 29, 2010 Canandaigua VA and Community Partners Developing Expanded Services for Veterans
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has selected the Finger Lakes Addictions Counseling and Referral Agency, Inc., and Cazenovia Recovery Systems to develop supportive housing for homeless and at-risk Veterans and their families. This new housing model will be geared towards enabling Veterans to achieve self-sufficiency and live independently in the shortest possible timeframe, maximizing the number of Veterans served. VA Voices, a local chapter of Toastmasters International, recently opened up its membership to any adult who wishes to improve their leadership and public speaking skills.
